Best Self Emptying Robot Vacuum and Mop
If you want a two-in-one machine that automatically empties its own bin of dust and mops it up without your input take a look at this great alternative. It also has several mapping features and Alexa integration.
This robot is expensive however it's great for cleaning up spills and dust. It comes with the latest technology to avoid obstacles and can be set up in zones for vacuuming or mopping.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
This mop and vacuum robot has a sleek, durable design with the most recent robotic technology. The powerful smartphone app helps you keep track of routine maintenance, such as emptying its tiny dust bin and cleaning the mop pad between uses. It can also be docked on a self-emptying base that automatically emptys and cleans it after every cleaning cycle. It is among the few robots that have these features and performed well in our tests.
Roborock has redesigned the S8 Pro Ultra compared to last year's model, focusing on avoiding objects and cleaning power. The result is an improved, cleaner and more reliable machine. It has a stronger suction motor and two rubber rollers on its floorhead. This makes it better for picking up debris and pet hair from carpets and bare floors. Its battery is now rated to last for up to 180 minutes and it also supports scheduled charging to lower the cost of electricity.
The robot's RockDock Ultra docking stations are the most significant improvements. They do more than empty and clean their contents after each cleaning cycle. It also cleans the mop pad and dries it with warm air. It also refills its water reservoir. This is the only thing that makes it stand out from other mop cleaners since it drastically reduces the amount of time and effort you need to spend on maintaining it.
The S8 Pro Ultra comes with an easy-to-use setup. You will need access to Wi-Fi networks to download the companion app and connect your docking station to an additional mop pad. Now you're ready to get your hands dirty.
In our tests, we found that the S8 Pro Ultra was able to clean up the majority of the surface debris and embedded dust on medium-pile and bare floors. The S8 Pro Ultra's vacuuming performance isn't quite as good as that of our top choice, iRobot's Roomba J7+. However, it is nonetheless a capable and versatile machine that is definitely worth considering.
The app allows you to create an interactive 3D home map as well as designate zones that are not to be visited and schedule specific cleaning sessions. The app shows you a running record of cleaning times and coverage of areas and lets you view the performance of each room or area. You can also assign different cleaning methods for each area. You can also add voice control to your Echo device or smart speaker if you have one.
2. IRobot Roomba J7+
The Roomba j7+ from iRobot is an excellent option for those looking for a self-emptying vacuum that also has the ability to mop. The model utilizes iRobot's Imprint Smart Mapping Technology to create an outline of your home's floor to ensure it cleans rooms as efficiently as is possible. Dirt Detect helps the robot focus on areas that are more dirty, and Reactive Sensor Technology helps it avoid obstacles.
The j7+, just like other iRobot products can be programmed to start cleaning when you're away from home and stop if it's not done. It can be controlled via the iRobot app, or via Alexa and Google Assistant-enabled smart speakers. It responds to voice commands better than many competing robots, like the $599 self-emptying Neabot N1 N1.
The iRobot Genius App allows you to control the robot via the remote or your smartphone. It is also easy to configure the j7+ as well as customize other settings. It will guide new users through a process of onboarding that will assist the robot in mapping out their cleaning space and learn about their home.
The j7+ comes with a larger dustbin than most of the self-emptying robots we've tried. This lets it hold more debris, but you'll need to empty it once every seven to eight months (or more often if you have many pet hairs or other heavy debris). iRobot offers replacement bags and filters.
The j7+ also has a front-facing camera that is supposed to help the robot avoid hazards like power cords and pet waste. The camera isn't as effective in low light, so you may think about a rival with a better camera, like the Roborock S7 MaxV.
Lastly, I was pleased to discover that the iRobot automatically empties its dust bin into the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal once it's docked. This is a huge improvement over the other models which require you to open manually and empty the dust bag. This tiny detail will save you time and frustration.
3. Ecovacs Deebot T10 Omni
The Deebot T10 is a sleek and stylish robot that offers impressive cleaning performance. It has a suction of 5000Pa and comes with dual-sided brushes as well as a floating brush to remove dirt from corners and hard floors. It has a strong battery that powers both mopping and vacuuming, with the ability to return to its dock if it's low on power. Smart features include a home map, 3D mapping, and automatic cleaning schedules.
Like other Deebot models, the T10 Omni uses a separate cleaning tank that is used to clean and dry its mopping pads to prevent cross-contamination. The T10 cleaning tank can hold up to 4L clean water. This is enough to mop up 400m2. It is designed in the way that it can be filled and drained again without getting wet or touching the pad.
The T10's smart mapping technology is one of the features that makes it stand out from other robot vacuums. It creates a precise 3D map of the plan of your home. This allows the robot to spot obstacles with greater precision and to adapt its course, enhancing overall cleaning efficiency.
Its intelligent features also include a top-quality microphone that responds to voice commands and the ECOVACS application is simple to use and offers many adjustable settings. The only drawback is the absence of a remote control. This might be frustrating for certain users.
The T10 OMNI is a great tool for cleaning pet hair. After two cleaning cycles, it was able remove the majority of pet hair from my carpets. It even managed to navigate through furniture that was blocking its path.
Although it's not as hands-free as the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the T10 Omni is still an excellent choice for those looking for a self-emptying robot mop and vacuum. The mop has the same power as its vacuums and has an attractive design that is superior to Roomba. The T10's intelligent features make up for the lack of the remote. You can quickly start or stop a cleaning cycle or schedule it, and alter the settings of your device using the app.
4. Shark ION XL
Shark's top-of-the-line self-emptying robotic vacuum The ION XL is an excellent choice for people looking for hands-off cleaning with the highest level of performance. The vacuum comes with a large bin that can store up to a month's worth dirt. It can be set to empty the bin at the end of each cleaning session to ensure long-term storage. The ION XL is one of the top robot vacuums that are available for carpets and hard floors. It can also sweep and mop your floors. It can be controlled via an app or voice commands and you can also create an outline of your house to clean each room on demand. The robot can also do well at getting around furniture and even move through stairs and fully-carpeted rooms effortlessly.
enboya d60+ robot vacuum tested the IONXL in a kitchen and family room with hardwood floors, area rugs and a standard debris test. It did an excellent job cleaning up and removing pet hair, debris and even some of the more stubborn carpet crumbs. It also did a great job maneuvering and didn't get in the way of my bar stools as did the iRobot J7+ in this test. The only drawback is that the IONXL cannot detect toys, cords or shoes that are in its path, which means you'll have prepare your home for cleaning prior to using this vacuum to avoid these things.
The ION XL robot cleaner isn't as smart as the iRobot J7+, but it's a great alternative if you don't want to spend over $500 on a robotic. It's superior to the eufy RoboVac 11S in most ways, including being easier to maintain and requiring lower recurring costs. It's also superior at cleaning floors with no carpet and picking up pet fur, but it isn't as effective on low- or carpets with higher pile.

It's not as robust however it's an excellent option. The ION XL is a powerful machine that has a large capacity bin. It is controlled via an app or a voice command and is easy to maintain. It is also affordable.
